Our commitment
Marcean Ltd is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the international standard for web accessibility. This is consistent with our obligations under the Equality Act 2010.
What we've done
- Skip-to-content link on every page
- Keyboard-navigable interface with visible focus indicators
- Touch targets of at least 44×44px
- Colour contrast meeting WCAG AA standards
- Respects
prefers-reduced-motion— no unnecessary animation - Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Form inputs with explicit labels (not placeholders)
- Screen reader labels on navigation and interactive elements
Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas that may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA:
- The portal dashboard uses HTMX for dynamic updates — screen reader announcements of content changes may vary by browser and assistive technology
- Some older browser versions may not support all CSS custom properties used for theming
We are actively working to address these and welcome feedback.
